Refuelling System Inspections & Audits

Audits and inspections of refuelling systems and delivery vehicles (where applicable) at aerodromes and offshore installations.

Auditing a fuel delivery system to ensure only uncontaminated fuel of the corrects grade is uplifted into aircraft involves a comprehensive review of the fuel storage and distribution process, delivery procedures, compliance with regulations / industry standards and operational efficiency to identify potential areas for improvement and safety concerns.

Audits and inspections are carried out in accordance with the regulatory requirements applicable to the country, to recognised industry standards and where applicable the Joint Inspection Group (JIG). Focus is typically on storage, delivery system integrity, fuel quality, accurate inventory tracking, leak detection, environmental protection, fire suppression, maintenance programmes and proper documentation.

Interviews are conducted with key personnel involved in fuel operations to gather insights and understanding.

Areas of audit focus are prioritised based on potential risks and compliance requirements.

Corrective action plans are produced to address identified issues and ensure improvements are implemented.
